Hey everyone I'm back with another review today. I am reviewing "Perfect Chemistry" by Simone Elkeles. I have been wanting to read this book for 3 years. It's been sitting on my shelf for two years and I can't believe I didn't pick this book up sooner. It was amazing! Scroll down to read my review :)

The Plot(Goodreads summary)

When Brittany Ellis walks into chemistry class on the first day of senior year, she has no clue that her carefully created 'perfect' life is about to unravel before her eyes. She's forced to be lab partners with Alex Fuentes, a gang member from the other side of town, and he is about to threaten everything she's worked so hard for: her flawless reputation, her relationship with her boyfriend, and the secret that her home life is anything but perfect.

Alex is a bad boy and he knows it. So when he makes a bet with his friends to lure Brittany into his life, he thinks nothing of it. But soon Alex realizes Brittany is a real person with real problems, and suddenly the bet he made in arrogance turns into something much more.

In a passionate story about looking beneath the surface, Simone Elkeles breaks through the stereotypes and barriers that threaten to keep Brittany and Alex apart.

My Opinion

Oh my gosh, this book was amazing! I loved everything about this book. I buddy read this book with my booktube friend Rachel. Here's the link to her YouTube Channel, I highly recommend her videos, she's awesome! https://www.youtube.com/user/Thelittlereadinglamb

This book was just so amazing! The writing, the characters, everything was perfect. The writing was so wonderful, I loved Simone's writing style. It was so simple, I loved the dialogue because it was so entertaining. Some of the dialogue is in spanish and I thought that was cool, even though I don't speak spanish. Speaking of spanish, one of the reasons why I loved this book was the diversity. The main guy, Alex is Latino, and I thought that was so different. I guess I'll start talking about the characters now. I loved every character, they were developed so well. They all had their flaws but I loved them for it. Brittany was such a great protagonist. She was so nice and humble, she really cared about her family, especially her sister. I loved her sister, Shelley. Shelley is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and I loved that because I never read a book with that disorder before. Shelley was so sweet and I felt so bad for her because of the way her parents treated her. I also loved how the author made her disabled because I've had a learning disability my whole life, so I understand how it feels to be different. I give huge props to Simone for making her such a great character, even though she can't speak and she's in a wheelchair. I loved her and Brittany's relationship. Alex was also a great character, I loved him. He had so many flaws and I felt bad for him. I liked how he made the right decisions in the end and became a better person. That's another thing I loved about this book, the character development was done so well. Alex and Brittany both changed at the end. This book also taught me a lesson. Don't be someone just because someone else wants you to be that way. Be who you want to be and just be yourself. The romance was so good, it wasn't insta-love at all. I love when characters hate each other at first, and then they slowly like each other. The pacing was so good, I was never bored. Another message I learned was, if your life isn't good, you can always change it and make your life better. I would love to explain why I learned these lessons, but my reviews are spoiler free so you'll have to read the book to see why. I loved the ending, it was so good and the epilogue was amazing! I can't wait to read the next book "Rules of Attraction". It's about Alex's younger brother, Carlos. I really really recommend this book to everyone. If you love good contemporary books about star crossed lovers, you'll love this book. This book is definitely worth a buy, go read it now and I gave it 5 Lily pads. That's my long review, thank you for reading, go read this book now! Bye :)
