Hey there, I'm back with a review. Today I am reviewing "The Wicked Will Rise". Before I start my review, yes, I know about the controversy with the author and Full Fathom Five. I did my research and I don't approve of FFF, but I'm not gonna let it stop me from reading this amazing series. I loved the first book, "Dorothy Must Die" so I really wanted to read this one. This book was not a disappointment. Recently, I've been having trouble reading second books in a series, because I just can't get into them. This book wasn't like that at all. It was amazing and l loved it!

I'm not going to describe the plot because I don't wanna spoil the book for people that haven't read it yet. I like to make my reviews spoiler-free so anyone can read it. So let's just skip to my opinion.

Like I said before, I loved this book! It was such a great sequel and I wasn't disappointed.

I love Danielle's writing style. I love first person and her style is just so simple and easy to read. I read this book pretty quickly.

The pacing was so perfect. I was never bored, the whole book was interesting even though there's not much action. Well, there is action just not as much as the first book. However, that doesn't bother me because I'm not a big fan of action in books which is funny because Fantasy is one of my favorite genres. I like action, I just don't need it in books to make me happy. I could care less if a book didn't have action. Anyway, the pacing was great and I loved getting more into the world and the characters. That was the main focus of this book.

I love the characters in this series. Our main protagonist, Amy is so awesome! She's so strong and kick butt. She has a heart of gold and doesn't like doing bad things to people. She's a good person and that's why I love her. I love Nox too, he's a good guy even though we don't know too much about him. Dorothy is so evil, I love reading chapters with her in it. I love all the side characters too, like Ozma.

So basically, I loved everything about this book. There was nothing wrong with it. I have the third book "Yellow Brick War" and can't wait to read it. I'm mad that I have to wait a whole year for the fourth book, but oh well. So yeah, that's my review. This book was awesome and it's definitely worth a buy (I don't support FFF, but I'm buying the books because I love them and I wanna support the author). You should still buy the books if you wanna read them. Don't worry about  the controversy, your missing out on a great series. If your hesitant about reading this series, don't be. Go out and read the first book. I promise it's so good and I'm sure you'll love it. If you loved the first book and your not sure about reading this one, don't listen to the bad reviews. Definitely give this one a try, you won't regret it. Just don't go into it with high expectations, I'm sure you'll love this one too. Stay tuned for a review for the third book. I actually didn't do a review for the first book on this blog. But since I'm reading the rest of the series, you can assume that I loved the first book. Anyway, that's my review. Thank you so much for reading, I love you all. Have a great day, God Bless all of you and happy reading! :)
