Hey there, here is a new review. Today I am reviewing "Entwined" by Heather Dixon. This is a YA stand alone novel. It is a retelling of the fairy tale "The Twelve Dancing Princesses". I really enjoyed this book. Stick around if you wanna know why I liked it.

The Plot

Just when Azalea should feel that everything is before her—beautiful gowns, dashing suitors, balls filled with dancing—it's taken away. All of it. And Azalea is trapped. The Keeper understands. He's trapped, too, held for centuries within the walls of the palace. So he extends an invitation.

Every night, Azalea and her eleven sisters may step through the enchanted passage in their room to dance in his silver forest, but there is a cost. The Keeper likes to keep things. Azalea may not realize how tangled she is in his web until it is too late.

My Opinion

This book was recommended to me from my sister.
She really enjoyed this book so I thought I should give it a try.
I was not disappointed. As I read the first chapter, I knew this book was right up my ally. I love books about royalty with castles, Kings and of course, Princesses. I just love reading fairy tale retellings and it was so good.

I really liked the characters. Our main character is Azalea and she is the oldest girl in her family. She has 11 younger sisters and I loved all of them. I loved reading about her family. I love books that revolve around family and that's mostly what this whole book was about. I loved how close the sisters were, even though they are all different ages.
There are guys in this book of course and I only liked one guy. His name is Mr. Bradford. He was such a great guy and I loved the romance in this book.

I loved the author's writing style. The writing was really well done. I loved the dialogue and I could really picture this book as a movie. It would be an amazing movie. The plot was so cool and very different. I never read this fairy tale before so it was cool reading it without knowing the original story. The pacing was pretty good. It wasn't really slow but the book is very long, but I didn't want it to end. The ending was very satisfying and I believe it is a stand-alone.
I also forgot to mention that this book is very clean. It was very refreshing to me, there's only a couple of kissing scenes and that's it.
Overall this book was really good and original. I loved the royalty atmosphere and the main characters were developed really well. This book was a little creepy at times, especially towards the end. I think Entwined is worth a buy not just because it's really good but also because this book is very underrated and more people should read it.  I gave this book 5/5 Lily Pads. Thank you so much for reading and stay tuned for more updates soon. Happy reading :)
