Hey there, I'm back! I haven't written a review in a while but I'm back now! So last night I finished reading "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" and I really enjoyed it! It was funny, and realistic and cool. Anyway, let's get into my review.

(back cover)

Mary Elizabeth Cep (or Lola, as she prefers to be called) longs to be in the spotlight. But when she moves to New Jersey with her family, Lola discovers that the role of resident drama queen at Dellwood "Deadwood" High has already been filled- by the Born-to-Win, Born-to-Run- Everything Carla Santini. Once the curtain goes up on the school play, which drama queen will take center stage?

Opinion

I thought this book was really good. Years ago when I was little, I loved the movie. To this day, I still love the movie. I had no idea there was a book so I checked it out. I found the book at my library used book store. I didn't have high expectations going into the book. I thought the book would be different from the movie, but I was wrong. This book is so much like the movie, it's creepy. Even the dialogue is the same as the movie. Since I saw the movie first, I already knew  what was going to happen. When I read the book I pictured the movie cast, Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox as the characters. To me it was nice. This book made me laugh at times and it is inspirational. A lot of people don't like the movie, but I loved the movie as much as I love the book. I loved all the characters. Ella was my favorite because I can relate the most to her. She is a really nice girl, who always listens to her parents, except when Lola's around. This book was entertaining but like I said before, since this book is just like the movie, I already knew what was going to happen. The only thing I didn't like about this book is, the end of the book just ended. I wanted more. In the movie there's a scene with the cast party, and that scene is not in the book. The ending was rushed. Oh well. This book has two more books in the series and maybe I'll read them someday. Overall, I really enjoyed the book and the movie. I recommend anyone to read this book. If you saw the movie first, you'll know what's going to happen. I give this book 5 stars! This book is good enough to buy or borrow from your library. Well, that's my review and stay tuned for more!
