Would I recommend it? If you liked Cinder, I really recommend this book

Hey everyone I'm back with a review. I haven't updated in a month and I am so behind on all my reviews. Today I am reviewing "Scarlet" by Marissa Meyer. I really enjoyed this book. Let's get on with the review!

The Plot

I'm not going to describe the plot much because this is the second book in a series. The Lunar Chronicles is a series based on fairy tales. Each book is a retelling. This series is science fiction with fairy tales. The first book "Cinder" is a retelling of "Cinderella. "Scarlet" is a retelling of "Red Riding Hood". So if you don't know the story of "Red Riding Hood" this book is about a girl named Scarlet who loses her Grandmother and goes on an adventure to save her and meets a Wolf. That's basically what this whole book is about but there's also characters from "Cinder" in it. The chapters switch from Scarlet's story to Cinder's. I highly recommend for you to read "Cinder" first because if you don't, you will probably be confused because this book takes place right after "Cinder". 

My Opinion

I really enjoyed this book. If you didn't already know, I wasn't a big fan of "Cinder". I feel everyone else loved it more than I did. I decided to continue with the series because I heard it gets better, and that is true. This book was so much better than "Cinder". I liked how the characters from the first book are in this one too, because I wanted to know what happens to them and I loved reading about Cinder and Kai. This book kept me interested the whole time and I loved the new characters. I love Scarlet's character the most, I just loved her. I also liked Wolf and Thorne, they were great characters. This book has a little bit of insta-love in it. Normally it would bother me but it didn't because "Cinder" had insta-love in it too. I thought the romance was really cute. I loved how Marissa Meyer brought the characters from the first book, to this book. Overall, this book was very good and I recommend it if you liked "Cinder". If your like me and you didn't really like "Cinder", I think you should read this one because like I said, the series gets better. I think this book is worth a buy but you should borrow it from the library first. If your wondering, I did read the third book "Cress". I borrowed it from the library but I didn't finish it. It wasn't bad it was just really big and I have to read my own books. Sorry for the rambling. That's my review, thanks for reading.
