Book Question #1- My Favorite Books

Hi! So I thought I would do something different. I thought it would be fun to do a book tag or questions about books.  I decided to make a separate post for each question instead of answering every question in one post. It's a good way to get to know what books I like. Here's an update before I get started. Since I just finished reading Cruel Summer (you can read my review below this post) I picked up The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen. I wanted to read this book for a while now. I heard it is one of her best books. I only read the first twenty pages so far and I like it. Anyway, let's get started with it.

Question #1- What is your favorite book?
That is a very tough question because I have many favorite books.  I will list more than one since I can't choose.

#1- The Year I Turned Sixteen by Diane Schwemm

I really love this book! My friend read this book and let me borrow it. I loved it so much, I had to buy my own copy. This book is four stories in one. The book is about four sisters, Rose, Daisy, Laurel and Lily. Each girl is different but they are all really close. Each of their stories is about the year they each turned sixteen. I loved all the characters and they are so different and unique. Also, there is romance in each story, but I won't spoil anything. I really recommend this book!

#2 The Help by Kathryn Stockett.

I'm sure some of you have heard of this book. This book is also a movie. Let me say I love this book! This is an adult book and my friend loved it and told me I had to read it. I borrowed a copy from my library and loved it!! This book is so good! I never read anything like it before. I believe the genre is Historical fiction because the book takes place in the 60's. I also love the movie and it's one of my favorite movies. I was obsessed with the move for awhile! Oh, the pie scene, lol! That's the best part. If you saw the movie, you know what I'm talking about. I really recommend this book, but since it's an adult book, I think teens 16 and up should read it.

#3 The Perfect Game by J. Sterling.

This book is amazing! The author does a great job with the characters and the plot. This book had me almost on the edge of my seat, wondering what's gonna happen next. This book held my attention throughout the whole book. The plot was very cheesy and the typical "Cocky jock player falls for nice, good girl" but I really loved it!! I couldn't put this book down, well it wasn't really a book since I read it on my kindle. So the book is about a guy and a girl in college. Yes! I love how the book takes place in college. The guy's name is Jack and he is a player and the kind of guy that all girls love. He is popular and is the star of his baseball team. Cassie is a normal girl majoring in photography. At first it is not love at first sight for Cassie, in fact she can't stand him!! Jack admires her and follows her, and soon Cassie falls for him and they have a relationship. I thought the dialogue in the beginning was funny when Cassie kept telling Jack off. I loved her attitude for some reason. Anyway this book was written well and was amazing! Go check it out!

#4 Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins.

Many of you have heard of this book, if your into YA. The reviews for this book were amazing! My sister read this book first and told me I had to read it. So I did. Let me say, this book was soo unbelievable! This book is so good, all the books I read now just can't compare to it. The plot was awesome! The pacing was good. The book was written really well and I loved the characters! Anna was an awesome main character and so was St. Clair. If you haven't heard of this book, you must be living under a rock. Go read this now!!

#5 Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins.

This was a great second book. I loved the characters especially Lola because she was so different and artsy.  She designs and makes her own clothes. I admire that because I can barely work a sewing machine, lol! I can't say Anna was better than this one. The books are both amazing! I can't favor one over the other. I also love how the author put Anna and St. Clair in this book too! The plot and characters were so developed!! I love how Stephanie's books have a happy ending. This book did not disappoint and that's why it is one of my favorites. Go read this now!

#6 Isabel of the Whales by Hester Velmans.

I thought this book was very important to choose. I read this when I was younger and I still love it! It is such a good book. I really wanted to mention this one because most people haven't heard of this book. This book is a middle-grade read because the main character is in fifth grade. The book is about a girl named Isabel. She is in fifth grade. She has best friends and loves the ocean, especially whales. She gets so psyched when her class goes on a whale watch. She has been waiting years to go see whales. But something unexpected happens. She falls overboard and turns into a whale. She must live her life as a whale and try to find her way home. Through her journey she meets some good friends, people she doesn't want to leave behind, especially Jessaloup. This book is so cute and simple. Even though it's a middle-grade read, I really recommend anyone to read this book, especially for a beach trip.

Those are my top favorite books. I have more favorites but I didn't want to put a long list and most of my favorite books are trilogies or series. That's it for now and stay tuned for more, bye! Remember, there's never a wrong time to read.
