I bought this book with my own money!
Hey everyone, I am back with another review. Today I am reviewing "Crown of Midnight" by Sarah J. Maas. This is book two in the "Throne of Glass" series. I enjoyed this book, it was pretty good. However, I liked Throne of Glass better than this book. I heard so many great things about this book and everyone said it was better than the first book, but I disagree. I loved Throne of Glass so much, and this book went in a different direction. Anyway, let's get on with the review.
This time, I'm not going to write a plot or describe the book because this is the second book in the series. I did not do a review for Throne of Glass on the blog but I have a review for the first book on my youtube channel if you want to watch it. I won't have much to say here, because my reviews do not have spoilers in them.
My Opinion
Like I said before this book was just okay. I was expecting it to be better because everyone else loved it. To me, this book was boring. Throne of Glass was so much better because it had more action and romance. This book was more about the world building and magic. I got bored at times but kept reading. Some bad things happen but I'm not going to say what happened. This book made me sad and surprised. I still like the characters. The first half was good but the second half started to get boring for me. Another reason why I liked Throne of Glass better is because there was more Dorian in it. I love Dorian, I am team Dorian. I was team Dorian in the first book too. I love Chaol, too. Dorian wasn't really in this book much, and I missed him. That's why I didn't like this book as much, it was mostly about Chaol. This book has some twists in it, at the end of the book. I really want to read the next book, Heir of Fire. This review is very short, I don't have much to say without mentioning the spoilers. That was my very quick review. Overall, I enjoyed this book but not as much as Throne of Glass. I give this book 4 Lily Pads. I recommend anyone to read this series, if you love fantasy and magic. I'm not sure if I will be filming a review on my channel. Honestly, I don't feel like filming a review and it would be really short but if you guys want me to, let me know. So that's it for today. Stay tuned for more, thanks for reading, bye!
