Hey everyone, I am back with another review. Today I will be reviewing "Flirting With Boys" by Hailey Abbott. I really enjoyed this book. I read Hailey Abbott's "Summer Boys" series and I enjoyed it. This book didn't disappoint me. I like the author's writing style. This book was a nice, easy read but it wasn't amazing. It was an enjoyable read. I think I liked this book better than "Summer Boys". I have a review for the Summer Boys series if you want to read it. Anyway, let's get on with the review!

The Plot

Flirting with Boys has a very simple plot, which is why this book is perfect to read in the summer. This book is about a girl named Celeste. Her family owns a resort near the beach in California. She just graduated high school. Hey boyfriend Travis, pulled a prank on graduation day and almost gets arrested. Celeste convinces her dad to let him go, and her dad makes Travis work at the family resort for the summer. Celeste is happy with that punishment, because that means she gets to spend the whole summer with her boyfriend. But there's a problem. Every year the resort's best family/customers son, Nick flirts with Celeste. He always flirts with her and they hooked up last summer. Celeste tries to keep Travis and Nick away from each other, but it doesn't work. How is she going to be able to keep them apart? Will Travis believe that Celeste doesn't have feelings for Nick? This book is one big love triangle. Who will Celeste choose?

My Opinion

Like I said before, I really enjoyed this book. I didn't really have high expectations because I knew it would be a light, summer read. The plot really intrigued me and that's why I bought the book. I really liked Celeste. She was a good character and she really cared about her family and the business. She did everything to make her dad happy. I didn't like her boyfriend, Travis. At first he was okay, but he's your typical teenage boy that gets into trouble and gets drunk. He was a huge jerk and started lots of trouble, and he was so jealous. He didn't trust Celeste at all. In the book, he does something that affects their relationship. I'm not going to tell you what it is, but he is very selfish. Unlike Travis, I actually really liked Nick. Nick is the typical flirt/player. Every year he flirts with Celeste and he obviously has feelings for her. He 's not as bad as he seems and him and Celeste get close. Celeste has to help Nick plan a party and they start to get along and become friends. I thought Nick was really nice. Travis was a stupid jerk to Nick because he was jealous, and I felt bad for Nick.

Overall, this book was very good. The ending was very predictable and satisfying. I knew who Celeste was going to choose before I read the book. This book had lots of drama in it, and it was very entertaining. I recommend this book for anyone who likes contemporary books that take place during the summer. So that was my review, thanks for reading, stay tuned for more coming soon. I'm not sure if I will be filming a video review for this. I might, but I'm sick right now so I don't really feel like filming a video, but I'll let you know if I do. Bye everyone:)
