Book Review: Scarlet

Scarlet by Marissa Meyer(Lunar Chronicles Book 2)

5/5 Lily Pads

No Spoilers!

Would I recommend it? If you liked Cinder, I really recommend this book

Hey everyone I'm back with a review. I haven't updated in a month and I am so behind on all my reviews. Today I am reviewing "Scarlet" by Marissa Meyer. I really enjoyed this book. Let's get on with the review!

The Plot

I'm not going to describe the plot much because this is the second book in a series. The Lunar Chronicles is a series based on fairy tales. Each book is a retelling. This series is science fiction with fairy tales. The first book "Cinder" is a retelling of "Cinderella. "Scarlet" is a retelling of "Red Riding Hood". So if you don't know the story of "Red Riding Hood" this book is about a girl named Scarlet who loses her Grandmother and goes on an adventure to save her and meets a Wolf. That's basically what this whole book is about but there's also characters from "Cinder" in it. The chapters switch from Scarlet's story to Cinder's. I highly recommend for you to read "Cinder" first because if you don't, you will probably be confused because this book takes place right after "Cinder".

My Opinion

I really enjoyed this book. If you didn't already know, I wasn't a big fan of "Cinder". I feel everyone else loved it more than I did. I decided to continue with the series because I heard it gets better, and that is true. This book was so much better than "Cinder". I liked how the characters from the first book are in this one too, because I wanted to know what happens to them and I loved reading about Cinder and Kai. This book kept me interested the whole time and I loved the new characters. I love Scarlet's character the most, I just loved her. I also liked Wolf and Thorne, they were great characters. This book has a little bit of insta-love in it. Normally it would bother me but it didn't because "Cinder" had insta-love in it too. I thought the romance was really cute. I loved how Marissa Meyer brought the characters from the first book, to this book. Overall, this book was very good and I recommend it if you liked "Cinder". If your like me and you didn't really like "Cinder", I think you should read this one because like I said, the series gets better. I think this book is worth a buy but you should borrow it from the library first. If your wondering, I did read the third book "Cress". I borrowed it from the library but I didn't finish it. It wasn't bad it was just really big and I have to read my own books. Sorry for the rambling. That's my review, thanks for reading. I will be filming a review for this book on my channel soon so stay tuned for that. Bye :)

Book Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by
J.K Rowling(Harry Potter series #4)

5/5 Lily Pads

No Spoilers!

Would I recommend it? OF COURSE, IT'S HARRY POTTER!

Hey guys, I'm back again. Today I am reviewing "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" by J.K Rowling. Oh my gosh, this book was amazing! This is my new favorite book in the series, they get better and better. If you guys don't already know, this is my first time reading the series, and I am so obsessed! Just ask my sister, she'll tell you how obsessed I am, lol! I don't know what I've been doing with my life, how did I go 19 years without reading Harry Potter. I really regret it but I'm so glad I gave this series a chance. Let's get on with this review.

I'm not going to describe the plot for this book, because I'm sure there's people out there, who haven't read this series.

My Opinion

Like I said before, this book was just so amazing and mind blowing! Prisoner of Azkaban was my favorite before I read this book but now Goblet of Fire is my new favorite. This book was so good! It's very big but I was never bored and I love all the events that happened in this book, it was so fun and entertaining to read. This book actually took me months to read, because it was so good, I didn't want it to end. I limited myself and made myself read only one chapter a day which was torture, but I really wanted to read it slowly and enjoy it. There's not much I can say, but if you've read this book/series, you'll understand  why I loved it so much. I can't talk about much without spoiling the book and all my reviews are spoiler free. Just know, that I loved this book so much! I have to say, I the movie disappointed me. I watch the movies right after I read each book, so I watched the movie. I was disappointed because a lot of my favorite parts from the book, weren't in the movie. I understand why, the book is so big, you can't put everything in the movie. I still liked the movie, but I liked the first three movies better. Anyway, this book was so incredible and I highly recommend it. I recommend everyone to read this series because you won't regret it. I'll push you to read this series until you do :) I can't wait to read the next book.  This book is worth a buy, I actually got the new scholastic box set for my birthday. That was the best birthday present I've ever gotten, thanks mom! Thanks so much for reading. Stay tuned for a video review on my channel. I'll see you guys next time, if you haven't already, go read this series now! Bye :)

Book Review: Flawless

Flawless by Sara Shepard(Pretty Little Liars #2)

5/5 Lily Pads

No Spoilers!

Would I recommend it? Yes

Hey everyone, I'm back with another review. I am reviewing "Flawless" by Sara Shepard. This is book 2 in the "Pretty Little Liars" series. I'm participating in the "PLL" read-along. Every month we read one book in the series and this was the book for February. Let's get on with the review!

I'm not going to put the plot description here because it will spoil you and my reviews are spoiler free. If you wanna know what the first book is about, check out my review on my blog.

My Opinion

I really enjoyed this book. This book was so much better than the first one. I liked the first one, but this one was so good. There was so much mystery. It was so good I didn't want to put it down. I read this book in 2 days, which is fast for me. That's how good it was. I liked the characters more in this book and I enjoyed reading their stories. Of course there was a cliffhanger at the end, just like the first book. I love Sara's writing, it's so simple but she knows how to pull you in. I will be reading the next book this month for the read-along. I can't wait to read it. If you read the first one and thought it was just okay, I recommend for you to read the second one because it's so much better. Overall, this book was so addicting and I loved it. That's my review. I think this book is worth a buy. Stay tuned for a review on my channel. Bye :) Thanks for reading.
